Hello Folks
This past season Jim of Courtland N.Y. gets the nod for the largest bear. While not as big as the last bear he shot while hunting with us last year, it was a beautiful bear around the 300 pound mark. His son Charlie also filled his tag with a late in the week black beauty at 175 pounds. Congratulations to them on well placed shots.
Dwilyn a first time bear hunter was here with his Dad and best friend. He filled his tag in the first night and felt it was easy hunting bears. He Dad filled his tag 2nd to last night.
Everyone had shooting chances except for one person. John from Pa was kept from even seeing a bear this hunt. I am not sure why that is and I feel for him as I knew he was really looking forward to packing a bow shot bear home along side the one his son harvested earlier in the week. Hang in there John it will happen.
Next year if gas prices and the economy pick up we could be covering a few more weeks of great black bear hunting in the Ontario outdoors. JIM
